Using 1.0 Techniques To Learn 2.0 Technology - A Toolkit
Welcome! This wiki supplements a presentation by Becca Todd and Claire Scott of the Berkeley Unified School District, given at the California School Library Association conference in November 2008.
Our presentation focuses on how one school district used low-tech strategies to scaffold teachers and librarians in learning and using technology tools. On the way, teachers went from "how do I turn this thing on?" to blogs, wikis, and even podcasting. This wiki makes our handouts, checklists, and strategies available to anyone who might find them useful in making a similar cultural shift in their school district.
What We Learned from the process.
Browse the blogging handouts and wiki handouts that we prepared for science teachers and library media technicians in our district. Please feel free to modify them for use in your school or district.
